KSL Hotel and Resort - Johor Barhu, Malaysia
2 Day 1 Night Trip to Johor Barhu Malaysia.
I tried to book the KTM train tickets online, but it was completely sold out. Alternatively you can take buses into Malaysia. Apparently there are quite a number of buses that you can take conveniently. The usual ones i took was either CW5 from Newton Circles or 170 from Kranji MRT Station.
The KTM Train would take approximately 5 minutes from Singapore Customs to JB Sentral.
While public buses would take as long as 2 hours or more depending on the Jam. Guess, you would need to plan your itinerary and choose a good day to enter Malaysia. There is no time differences between Singapore and Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
KSL Hotel and Resort Johor Barhu is just 5-10 minutes drive away from Malaysia Customs. Travelling from hotel to City Square Mall via uber ~ 6 MYR. It is located in the city center and is connected to one of the popular mall that many tourists will visit - KSL City Mall.
Something interesting with this Hotel is that, they have a Dinosaur Water Theme Park in the hotel premises. Due to the time constraint, i only spent a night in KSL Hotel. I booked the Superior Twin Bedded Room through expedia and it costs S$82.
The hotel turn out not as bad as what i have expected. I have read many reviews from hotel apps, as well as blogs, which highlighted that the lift in KSL is rather slow. Guess i am lucky, i need not wait 10 minutes for the lift.
Given this short stay, i would say it's quite worthy for the price and location. It's a pity that, i could not extend my stay due to personal reason, as i would really like to go for the night market right outside KSL City Mall every Monday after 5:30pm.
Would definitely say, i do enjoy the stay, just that the cleanliness of the room can be improved especially the shower area, there are patches of black fungus and stenches of urine. Front desk staffs are polite and friendly upon Check-In and Check-Out.
